Our Beginnings
I have been training for 23 years. This is my life: I sleep, breathe, and eat Wing Chun! My teacher was like a father to me. I made a promise to him on his deathbed to promote Wing Chun to the world! At that moment I made a decision to open Lightning Hands Wing Chun.
My Story
I was a kid headed down the wrong path. Drinking, fighting, drugs - I was only 19 and I was angry. A friend of mine told me he had started doing Wing Chun. I laughed at him and said ok show me.
I threw a punch at him and I was amazed at what he did. At the time I didn't know what it was, however I knew it worked. Afterwards, I visited the school he was training at and I met Sifu Bill. He was very intimidating, however I was at a point in my life where I was fearless. I was always in trouble. Sifu Bill brought me into his room and said show me what you know! He hit me really hard and my nose was bleeding. I remember walking in front of his class of students embarrassed. I had been in many fights and been beaten up. There was something so different about the way he moved that made me want to learn! He was this massive man but so unbelievably agile. At that point, I made a decision that I was going to be a Wing Chun Master.
From Fighting to Helping
At first, I just wanted to learn how to fight. Now that I've learned how to fight, I just want to help. Wing Chun has changed my life. It gave me somewhere productive to spend my time. Instead of getting in trouble, I was training. It became a way of life and it transformed into a better person. Now that I have learned how to fight, all I want to do is help people. There are a lot of lost people who would benefit from the life changing power of this art! I do not believe in coincidences, Sifu Bill ( who became like a father to me, after 23 years being my Sifu,) came into my life to give me the gift of Wing Chun. I now have the opportunity to give it to others. On his deathbed (rest his soul) he told me to promote Wing Chun and that's exactly what I plan to do!
Our Training & Certifications
I have 23 years of training in Traditional Wing Chun and passed my provisional one master test! I also have the life experience of someone who has been down the wrong path. After learning Wing Chun, I was a better version of myself, I had found what I love to do and this is very powerful. However, I needed more, so I went down the path of self-improvement. I developed a program called the Better Life School. My goal is to give each student the full mind and body transformation
My Promise to Students
I promise to teach everything I know and was taught and never to hold anything back. I promise that my intentions are to change the world through helping people develop a higher form of consciousness through the transformation of mind and body!
Looking Ahead
Yes, this is the 1st school I have opened, however we will expand! Thank you for being a part of the Wing Chun community. See you on the mat!
